About Anne Prinz:
Anne, a concert zither player from the U.S., began playing in 2005 and studied with master zitherist Tomy Temerson from Germany, focusing on teaching beginners. In 2017, she started teaching members of the newly formed Schwarzer Zither Ensemble (SZE) in Washington, Missouri, and moved there in 2019 to continue supporting them in their growth. The SZE has become the largest Zither Ensemble in North America, currently with 15 zither players.
Anne has performed with ensembles in Iowa, Chicago, Missouri, Germany, and Switzerland.
Internationally known for fostering the zither community, Anne co-hosted National Zither Gatherings (now International Zither Gatherings) since 2008, coordinating ten events connecting players from the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Japan. She also co-coordinated the Chicago Zither Club’s 100th Anniversary and has been editor of the Zither Newsletter USA.
She loves nurturing new zither players and bringing zither enthusiasts together for workshops, performances, and building lasting friendships within the community.

About Tomy Temerson:
Born and raised in Hanau, Germany, near Frankfurt, Tomy Temerson began his zither journey in 1982, studying under Angel Macker and his father, David, a professional guitarist. By 1989, he was training privately with renowned zitherist Gernot Sauter, alongside studying conducting and trumpet with professor, Hans Kuhner, from the Frankfurt Conservatory.
With over 40 years of experience and a degree from the National Music Academy in Trossingen, Tomy Temerson has won multiple awards, including the Youth Music Competition and the Grand Prize for Folk Music. He performs internationally as a soloist, collaborates with orchestras, and plays in leading German opera houses, such as the National Theater of Giessen and Opera Köln. He also performs over 200 concerts annually on eight cruise lines.
As a conductor, Tomy Temerson leads zither orchestras in Switzerland, Germany, the USA, and Japan. His students have excelled in competitions, and over 30 have gone on to study at Trossingen’s National Music Academy. He also offers private lessons, workshops, and concerts across Germany, Switzerland, the USA, and Japan, nurturing the next generation of zither talent.
